A lot of people nowadays dream of having a brand new truck but cannot afford it right now. If you are one of those people, there is another option that can give you the fun of a new truck without the expense. You can customize your Toyota Tundra parts in order to give a new life and style to your truck. Customizing your Toyota Tundra is one way to express your personality and style with your truck without having to spend a fortune. Whatever design and style that you want, there are number of ways on how you can adjust your truck to suit your preferences. It doesn’t matter whether the alteration is big or small, you can be sure that your truck can be modified to something that you will be proud of. The details you can create by having different accessories on your truck can impress a lot of people especially truck experts. Here are several tips you can use for accessorizing your Toyota Tundra into something special: You have to decide whether you want to customize your truck little by little or you want it to be done all at once. This is such a big decision to make because this can dictate the budget that you need. If you choose to customize your truck little by little you just need a small amount, but if you want it to be done all at once you need to prepare the necessary amount to customize it as a whole. The entire budget for the accessories will depend upon the style and design that you want.

If you’re on a tight budget, small tweaks and upgrades can be done for next to nothing. In fact, many Toyota accessories can be installed yourself so you can save money by not going to a professional mechanic. You may want to consider adding custom pillar posts for your Toyota Tundra. These pillar posts are situated between front and back door window of your truck. Although, this smaller part is not noticeable on the stock version of your truck, the upgrade can add a very brilliant stainless finish that will make your truck stand out. You will notice a big difference after deciding to install a new one. Another great option for customizing your truck is changing the mirror cover or the door handles of your truck. Although, this is such a small detail of the whole truck, changing these parts can add uniqueness to your Toyota. Lastly, make sure that you buy genuine Toyota parts in order to achieve the look that you want for your truck. You need to ensure that the dealer is selling genuine parts by looking at the quality of each before buying and checking the reputation of the dealer. Buying fake parts will cause big problems later down the line. Some people may neglect small details such as windows, door handles and pillar posts, but these small details add up to make a spectacular upgrade for your vehicle.

Tonneau Covers, Protecting Your Cargo & Saving You Money

If you ride around in a pickup, you know the hassle of having to haul tools and other gear in and out of your truck bed every night…and often multiple times throughout the day. Why? Because odds are that if you’re reading this, you don’t live in Amish country. And in the big city, gear left in the back of your pickup has a way of disappearing when your back is turned. But with tonneau covers, you can transform your pickup bed into a safe on wheels, protecting your gear while streamlining your truck bed, improving fuel efficiency at the same time. Here’s how. Also known as a truck bed cover, tonneau covers like the Bak cover and 350z car cover transform your truck bed into a sheltered compartment, protecting gear, tools and anything else you’re hauling from Mother Nature and the quick fingers of thieves. Think you can achieve the same results with a tarp? Think again. From rain to dust, the gear you haul can quickly become waterlogged or coated with airborne debris. Far more effective than a tarp, a Chevy Silverado tonneau cover, Toyota Tundra tonneau cover and all those like them provide an impenetrable shield that deflects anything the environment throws your way, including the sun’s highly-damaging UV rays.

Aside from protection from the elements, tonneaus also provide privacy and security. They keep prying eyes from seeing what you’ve got in back and in doing so act as a great theft deterrent. After all, if they can’t see it, they won’t want to steal it. This is one of the most popular features of a tonneau, especially for those who haul around valuable cargo. A hard tonneau makes your truck bed lockable and impenetrable, ensuring your valuables will be there when you get back. By adding a tonneau cover, you’ve effectively saved your gear and in doing so you’re saving fuel in the process. As air passes over your cab, it flows into your empty truck bed where it collects and produces drag. Closed-air truck beds offer lower air resistance, streamlined for optimal performance like their racing counterparts. This reduction in drag creates a faster, more energy-efficient truck that’s been shown to extend gas mileage by up to 10 percent, easily saving you several miles of gas on every trip while adding a finished appearance to your rig. And speaking of finished, whether you’re in the market for a hard tonneau cover, folding tonneau cover – like the Extant cover and Tuxedo cover – or a soft roll-up tonneau, each comes in a variety of paint-ready styles and standard colors to perfectly match any exterior, no matter how custom.

Why Buying A Used Car Is The Smarter Decision

Shopping for a new car is an exciting adventure but also can involve a lot of running around, dealing with different car dealerships and doing a lot of research. New cars are expensive. According to reports, in 2015 the average price of a new vehicle was at $33,500 and right when you leave the dealership and hit the road in your new vehicle, the value of your car almost immediately drops at least 11%. A new car’s value also falls nearly 20% each year, lowering the value by almost 30% during just the first year. That sparks the question, why wouldn’t everyone buy a used car? The reasons vary from wanting you to be the first and only owner, knowing what you are buying and not wanting to do the proper research.  While a brand new car should never be looked at as a bad investment, there are other options which can save you thousands of dollars and the difference in vehicles is not often far off. For instance, if you shop around, go to dealerships and find the type of car you want, you shouldn’t stop there. Keep on shopping and look for used vehicles of that same model, depending on usage and mileage, you can save over $10,000 in some cases. Many people think used cars are broken or beat up. And while that may be true, more likely than not when someone is selling their old car it is still in fine condition and they are probably looking for a change as well. Doing the right research and working with the right people is important to finding yourself the best deal out there.

Here are five of the best used cars that you can find for under $15,000

  1. Cadillac CTS 2011-2014 – The Cadillac CTS was a turning point for the automaker, making it more competitive by offering a more affordable price along with keeping the luxury, comfort and driving precision of their old models. This midsized car is one of the best options when looking for a used car.
  2. Mazda 6 2014-2016 – While this may be hard to find, it is one of the best newer models you can buy used. The Mazda 6 has a great and clean interior, plenty of storage space and a variety of updated technology throughout the vehicle.
  3. Honda CR-V 2012-2016 – For a compacted SUV, the Honda CR-V is one of the best bangs for your buck when buying used. Practical and reliable, the CR-V is one of the newer and best models you can find.
  4. Toyota Camry Hybrid 2012-2015 – The Camry Hybrid is a great choice when buying used and looking for a cleaner ride. Offering a comfortable and efficient ride, the Camry Hybrid also returns about 40 miles per gallon, saving you even more money.
  5. Toyota Tundra 2007-2013 – In terms of trucks, its hard to find a better deal than the Toyota Tundra. Durable and reliable, the Tundra is great for working, towing and essentially anything you might want out of a truck.

Buying a used car is the smarter decision. Not only will you save money, with the right amount of time looking and the right research, you can save a ton and put that money to use elsewhere. Try and take the actual car you are looking at to a personal mechanic as well, allowing him or her to look over the vehicle to make sure nothing is wrong. That is very important to making sure the car is sound both inside and out. There are many great places to shop for used cars, allowing you to test drive and check out your vehicles before you make any purchase. If you take the time to do the proper research and proper shopping, you will save on your new vehicle. For the new car buyer it makes sense to buy a used car, saving you money almost immediately as well as in the long run. Regardless if you choose to buy new or used car, you will want to keep your new purchase protected. Finding cheap car insurance near me is the best bet to keeping yourself safe and covered no matter what event you might run into on the roads. The right insurance company will be with you every step of the way whether that be in a new or used car.
